Dear Neighbor,
The House was back in session this week, and we got straight to work on the issues that matter most.
This week in the House Energy and Commerce Committee, we held a full committee markup focused on several bills that support energy innovation, cut burdensome red tape, and lower costs for hardworking American families. We also discussed the importance of expanding nuclear energy to strengthen America’s technological leadership and ensure reliable energy at home.
I also participated in markups in both the Communications and Technology Subcommittee and the Commerce, Manufacturing, and Trade Subcommittee. It was a busy week focused on advancing policies that strengthen American energy, technology, manufacturing, and economic competitiveness.
In the Communications and Technology Subcommittee markup, I voted YES on H.R. 6152, the Foreign Robocall Elimination Act. This bill cracks down on illegal robocalls coming from overseas and gives the federal government better tools to identify and stop the people behind them.
In the Commerce, Manufacturing, and Trade Subcommittee markup, I voted YES on H.R. 10163, the American Quantum Competitiveness Act. This bill strengthens America’s position in quantum technology by supporting U.S. manufacturing, encouraging private investment, and strengthening the supply chains we need to compete.
The House also took up several important pieces of legislation on the floor this week. From protecting the freedoms that make our country great to strengthening accountability in Congress, I’m focused on advancing policies that protect Americans, strengthen our country, and restore trust and integrity in the People’s House.
Here's a rundown of the key votes and why they matter:

H.Res. 1490
America was built on equal opportunity, not equal outcome. That's the founding principle at the heart of what makes our country exceptional.
This week, I voted YES on H.Res. 1490, condemning socialism in all its forms and rejecting policies that would expand government control at the expense of individual freedom. The resolution also reaffirms support for free, fair, and secure elections, calls for passage of the SAVE America Act, and makes clear that American elections are for American citizens.
America will never be a socialist country. I will always stand up for the freedoms and liberties protected by our Constitution.
H.Res. 1498
Accountability cannot begin and end with resignations. Members of Congress must be held to the same standards of conduct we expect from everyone else.
This week I voted YES on H.Res. 1498 to formally censure Rep. Chuck Edwards for a pattern of inappropriate conduct toward staff. This vote reflects something I've made a top priority as Chair of the Republican Women's Caucus: rooting out sexual misconduct on Capitol Hill and rebuilding trust in Congress.
As your Representative, it is my mission to strengthen accountability in Congress and fix the broken systems that have allowed misconduct to persist for far too long.

H.R. 6500
Congress has a responsibility to keep the government open and make sure Americans can continue to receive the services they rely on.
I voted YES on H.R. 6500 to keep the federal government funded through December 11 and prevent a government shutdown. The bill maintains largely current funding levels while giving Congress additional time to complete the full-year appropriations process.
Government shutdowns hurt American families, veterans, small businesses, and communities. I’m focused on keeping the government open, cutting waste, and making sure the government continues to serve the people.
Additional Legislation
In addition to the major legislation highlighted above, the House also voted on several other measures this week:
- H.R. 4795 — Protect Economic and Academic Freedom Act
- H.R. 1501 — Protecting Domestic Mining Act
- H.J.Res. 1 — Supreme Court Amendment
- H.R. 9436 — North Atlantic Right Whale Regulations
- H.Res. 1499 — Procedural votes governing consideration of several bills and resolutions.
These votes reflect the range of issues Congress addressed this week, from protecting economic and academic freedom and strengthening domestic mining to maintaining the constitutional structure of the Supreme Court and addressing federal regulations.
