Dear Friend,

Today, we fulfilled our mission in Congress to help and serve those who sent us here by putting aside our differences and working together to pass the coronavirus stimulus package in the House.

Right now is an extraordinary time in our country’s history that calls for extraordinary action – and it's our duty to take action to provide the resources needed to protect our country and our economy. 

Now, let me be clear: The bill before us today wasn't perfect but we are facing an unprecedented adversary that provides an unprecedented economic challenge. If we don’t stabilize the small businesses on A1A from Palm Coast to New Smyrna Beach, more jobs will be lost.

I’m glad to see this legislation putting money into the hands of Americans, including our seniors, who need it to pay their bills. I’m also glad to see tax reductions for our small businesses like those in Florida’s tourism and hospitality industries. This bill also helps medical professionals on the frontlines of defending us against this invisible enemy.

This moment in history reminds me of the motto of the Special Forces: We link arms in the foxhole and move out. Today and every day, we are in this together.
