Dear Friend,
Right now, business owners in Florida and around the country are making difficult decisions to close their doors and lay off employees due to the coronavirus pandemic. Congress has known for quite some time that the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) was going to run out of funding until we acted. Unfortunately, the House has been out of session for nearly a month and has taken no action yet to replenish this lifeline.
Thankfully, the House will vote on a measure to expand the PPP tomorrow but it is still unacceptable it’s taken this long.
If our doctors, nurses, truckers, grocery store workers and delivery drivers have to go to work, Congress should, too. I’m committed to serving Floridians in Congress no matter the risk and will be in DC Thursday to vote to ensure our small businesses receive the help they need to weather this storm.

Congress needs to get back to work:
