Dear Friends:
I hope all had a blessed Thanksgiving. Sandy and I enjoyed Thanksgiving with several of our children and grandchildren and were grateful to receive the news that our family will be blessed with our 24th grandchild!
Before gathering with family, I joined Orlando Union Rescue Mission with founder Don Moody, President Fred Clayton, and other volunteers to help serve Thanksgiving meals to our neighbors in the community.
Seeing and Serving You
Cindy Brown, my Community Relations Representative for Sumter County, joined with the Administrators of The Salvation Army of Lake and Sumter Counties at their Red Kettle Kick Off at The Villages Lake Sumter Landing Town Square at Market Night on Wednesday. Friends and neighbors who have supported and been blessed by The Salvation Army came out to celebrate the event.

Cindy also joined volunteers at the Grace Tabernacle food pantry and Joining Hands in Food Ministry to help deliver food for those in our community.
With Grace Tabernacle, approximately 200 cars waited in line to pick up their fresh produce, canned and baked foods, and fresh meat. Cindy also helped bag fresh frozen peas with the Pantry Director, Kathy Brunner. With the help of several partners, including Feeding Tampa Bay, Walmart and Sprouts, this pantry feeds hundreds of families every month and has met many needs in Wildwood and surrounding communities for over 10 years.
Cindy and over 50 volunteers with Joining Hands in Food Ministry distributed over 18,000 pounds of nutritious food to 936 individuals. Joining Hands in Food Ministry is a partnership with Gloria Dei Lutheran Church and First Presbyterian Church in the City of Leesburg.
Thank you, Grace Tabernacle, Joining Hands in Food Ministry and all of the volunteers for your incredible care for the community.

Pam Jones, my Community Relations Representative of West Orange County, recently attended the Address of the City of Apopka with Mayor Bryan Nelson. Breakfast was served at the Apopka Community Center hosted by the Apopka Chamber with Executive Director Cate Manley and the premier sponsor was AdventHealth. The State of the City was widely attended with elected officials, chamber members, and the local and business community.
