Greetings,
I hope this message finds you well. As your Thirteenth Congressional District Representative, I want to share some important updates with you from the past month:
Congressman David Scott Votes to Invest $18 Million In Community Project Funding For Georgia’s Thirteenth Congressional District
People everywhere—including in Georgia's Thirteenth Congressional District—deserve reliable transportation, a healthy environment, and a robust economy.
This month, I was proud to vote for the House Democrats' funding bill, which includes $18 million for community projects in the district to create jobs and improve safety.

Congressman David Scott’s Protecting Veterans’ Anesthesia Care Amendment Passes in Funding Deal
Proud to announce that my amendment affirming veterans' entitlement to high quality anesthesia care also passed as part of the House Democrats' funding bill. I have long fought to ensure that our nation’s veterans, many of whom suffer from serious underlying health conditions, receive the most experienced and qualified anesthesia care available.
The broad bipartisan support for this amendment sends a clear message—the House of Representatives stands with our veterans in demanding the highest quality health care available and we must pass legislation that reflects that.

I will continue to fight to ensure that veterans receive the best and most experienced anesthesia care available!

Agriculture Committee Chairman David Scott Introduces Legislation to Support Small Cattle Farmers and Ranchers
This month, I introduced H.R. 8590, the Small Family Farmer and Rancher Relief Act to increase opportunities for small ranchers and producers, lower the cost of food and help families in Georgia's Thirteenth District and across the nation feed their children.
Helping small family farms and ranches stay in business and securing an affordable food supply chain for families are two of my top priorities as Chairman of the House Agriculture Committee. The Small Family Farmer and Rancher Relief Act will help deliver.
ICYMI: Department of Community Affairs Housing Assistance Programs
As families prepare to begin another school year, now is a great time to explore the mortgage and rental resources available at Georgia’s Department of Community Affairs. Earlier this year, I joined DCA Commissioner Christopher Nunn and WSB-TV’s Condace Pressley on People to People to answer questions about the new Georgia Homeowner Assistance Program. |

Back to School Message
As our Thirteenth District students prepare to head back to the classroom, I want to take the opportunity to wish everyone well in the upcoming school year! Whenever this time of year rolls around, I am reminded of a saying from Martin Luther King, Jr., in which he said, "Intelligence plus character, that is the goal of true education."
Some of the best and brightest in the nation are right here in Georgia's Thirteenth District, and I hope that the notion of developing one's full potential, both inside and outside of the classroom, will stay with our students as they get back to their academic studies.
It is still important that we stay vigilant and protect against COVID-19 throughout the year. For more information on resources to help mitigate the spread, please visit the Centers For Disease Control's (CDC) website. If there is anything that my office can do to assist or areas in which we can provide guidance, please don't hesitate to reach out.
