Still No Movement on the Bipartisan Farm Bill

As the Ranking Member of the House Committee on Agriculture, I have been concerned with the lack of movement on the Farm Bill from the Republican Majority. Speaker Johnson and Chairman Thompson stated that getting a bipartisan Farm Bill passed was a priority—yet there still has not been a full House voteonsuch bill. This comprehensive legislation is critical to our farmers, ranchers, and national security. . You can watch my full remarks from the full committee hearing HERE.

In June, it was a pleasure to meet with Fulton County Commission Chairman Pitts in DC. This lively discussion touched on some of the past and potential upcoming funding opportunities that the community needs to serve the people of GA-13 Congressional District. We are committed to collaborating and ensuring that more of your tax dollars are effectively utilized to benefit Fulton!

In July, I signed a House petition to push for a vote on the Closing the Bump Stock Loophole Act (H.R. 396). This bill aims to regulate bump stocks under the National Firearms Act, making them harder for dangerous individuals to obtain and helping to save lives.
