Dear Friend,
Today, rising gas and diesel prices hit a new milestone: regular gas reached its highest level since the beginning of the Iran war, and diesel is now up 45 percent.
Gas and diesel prices have surged as Iran disrupts passage through the Strait of Hormuz, a vital route for cargo ships transporting oil. The strait was open before Trump ordered the attack on Iran—without the consent of Congress.
Now, the average cost in Illinois for a gallon of regular gasoline is $4.45 and diesel is $5.31 according to AAA.
Taking this survey will sign you up for future news and updates from my office.
Sincerely,
Bill Foster Member of Congress
