This year, I proudly introduced the No Solar Panels on Fertile Farmland Act to protect prime Illinois farmland from being overrun by Chinese solar panels and wind turbines. Protecting our nation's fertile land sustains our food supply and supports local communities.

During a House Agriculture Committee Hearing, I questioned the Biden Administration’s EPA Administrator about the dangers of policies which replace the prime farmland we need to grow food in Illinois with solar panels that are made in China and hazardous to our soil. I will always support my fellow farmers in Congress and on the House Agriculture Committee. This Spring, I confronted Biden's Secretary of Education and pushed the Secretary to backtrack over his policies permitting men in girls' restrooms and locker rooms. Extreme liberals cannot be allowed to violate and endanger our daughters any longer.

THE COVID VACCINE MANDATE WAS ILLEGAL

I confronted Biden's Acting Secretary of Labor for enacting policies surrounding the unconstitutional COVID vaccine mandate. The Biden Administration's polices would have forced 84 million Americans out of their jobs unless they handed over their medical records to their employers. However, these efforts were ultimately stopped by the Supreme Court. REP. MILLER TO BIDEN HEALTH SECRETARY: 

WHY DIDN'T WE SEE ACTION ON MYOCARDITIS WARNINGS?

During a House Education and Workforce Committee hearing this Spring, I questioned Biden's Health Secretary on whether taxpayer dollars were used to bypass parents and encourage policies for children to take chemical castration & puberty-blocking drugs that the FDA, under the Health Secretary's jurisdiction, says cause brain swelling, hearing loss, and tumor-like symptoms.

I also raised concerns about the disturbing side effects of the second dose of the COVID mRNA vaccine. The Health Secretary's own agency released alarming data showing a heightened risk of myocarditis in young men and teenage boys. During the hearing, Biden's Health Secretary did not address concerns with this data.

Final Passage of Parents Bill of Rights Act Includes Miller Parental Rights Bills

I proudly voted with the House to defend parental rights and pass H.R. 5, the Parents Bill of Rights Act. I am grateful that several of my bills are included in this legislation to protect children from radical gender ideology and to ensure parents give permission when information is being collected about their kids through surveys or documents.

Parents have the right to know what is being taught to their child and the right to opt their child out of any discussion about sexual orientation and gender ideology.

PROTECTING WOMEN AND GIRLS IN SPORTS

I voted in favor or the Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act of 2023 and introduced the Safety & Opportunity For Girls Act as my first bill as a Member of Congress to restore the safety, privacy, and opportunities of women and girls in sports.

We cannot allow the Extreme Left to put their political transgender policies ahead of children’s safety. 

Miller Votes to Stop Biden's Department of Defense Abortion Policies

I voted for the National Defense Authorization Act this year, which included my amendment to protect the religious liberty rights of our service members and the amendment I co-sponsored to end the ability of the Department of Defense to use taxpayer dollars to pay for abortion expenses.

In Congress, I will always support our brave men and women in uniform and their families. President Biden's weak national security policies and woke policy agenda have devastated our military readiness, but I am proud that House conservatives were able to halt some of the Biden agenda through this bill.

Below are some key conservative provisions I supported in the NDAA:

DEFENDING OUR SECOND AMENDMENT 

Bureaucrats at the ATF do not have the Constitutional authority to ban guns and violate the Second Amendment rights of American citizens. I joined House Republicans in supporting a rule to BLOCK Biden's "Pistol Brace" gun ban, which can be used to criminalize millions of law-abiding gun owners.

I am a proud member of the House Freedom Caucus and the House Second Amendment Caucus, and we are united in our opposition to the unconstitutional attacks on the rights of the American people.

This Spring, a young girl from the Springfield, Illinois area was banned from the YMCA for speaking out against men undressing in the girls’ locker room. Men should NEVER be allowed to violate girls' locker rooms and bathrooms. 

Governor Pritzker's policies put our daughters at risk. He has not addressed the concerns of parents or protected the safety and privacy of young girls in Illinois. This is deeply concerning. Parents are the guardians of their children, not the government.

This June marked the one year anniversary of the pro-life ruling in Dobbs v. Jackson, which put an end to Roe v. Wade. This marks a significant victory upholding the sanctity of life and the start of a fresh chapter in the ongoing battle to protect innocent lives.

I introduced two pieces of pro-life legislation to ensure that the gift of life is respected and that parental rights are protected from radical politicians who want to erase parental rights and replace parents with an all-powerful State. I contributed a piece to The Daily Signal detailing my pro-life legislation.

On this anniversary of the Dobbs v. Jackson decision, I spoke with the Epoch Times. You can watch these interview below. In Congress, I will always stand for the unborn and uphold parents’ rights!

I had the privilege of meeting with the incredible veterans from the Honor Flight out of Quincy, Illinois this spring in Washington, D.C.

These brave men and women served our country with distinction, and it was an absolute privilege to hear their stories and express my gratitude for their service. Thank you to the organizers of the Honor Flight program for giving us all the opportunity to thank these true American heroes!

The Illinois Supreme Court erased the rights of crime victims by upholding the Pritzker SAFE-T Act, which will release dangerous prisoners onto our streets and make it even harder for law enforcement to protect our communities.

By ending cash bail and ordering the release of dangerous criminals, JB Pritzker's policies have made our communities less safe.

Recently, Governor Pritzker signed a bill to allow illegal immigrants to become police officers, giving non-citizens the power to arrest citizens in our state. 

No sane state would allow foreign nationals to arrest their citizens. In Congress, I will always uphold the rule of law and protect the safety of our citizens.
