Getting baby formula back on the shelves is important to me -- find some new resources.‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌

Hi Friend,

I know lots of families are concerned about the baby formula shortage. Times are tough already, and the shortage adds another burden. No one should have to worry about whether the nearby grocery store has enough baby formula in stock to feed their child.

I am fighting to resolve this problem in the House of Representatives, but I also know that families need help right now. Click here for help finding formula during this shortage.

ImageNo family should be worried about their child going hungry – that’s why I’m working hard to clear the baby formula supply chain shortage.

I’m working hard to get baby formula back on shelves.

That’s why I just voted for new legislation to help address this crisis – the Infant Supplemental Appropriations Act and the Access to Baby Formula Act of 2022. These two pieces of legislation will provide FDA the necessary resources to address this supply chain problem and make it easier for low-income families to access formula that’s currently available and strengthens our ability to prevent disruptions like this in the future.

I also pushed the administration to work with manufacturers to increase output, expedite approvals on manufacturing and import requirements, facilitate more targeted retail distributions, and allow disbursement of additional nutrition products when medically necessary. I’m glad to hear that the Biden administration is taking action to speed up the import of infant formula, ensure that manufacturers have the supplies that they need, and get more baby formula back on the shelves.

This isn’t the only issue we’ve seen in manufacturing recently. The lingering effects of the pandemic have highlighted vulnerabilities in U.S. supply chains. It’s clear that we need to take action to address this problem and lower costs.

ImageI’ve made it a priority to visit Kansas manufacturer’s who are working hard to solve supply chain issues in our own backyard – we need to support American and Kansan manufacturing.

I’m focused on concrete solutions that can help build a better future with more vaccinations, more jobs, and lower prices. That's why I voted to secure American supply chains, boost U.S. manufacturing, and reduce dependence on foreign oil.

I’m working on the bipartisan COMPETES Act to strengthen American manufacturing and promote workforce development. I’m honored to have been chosen as a key negotiator to finalize the bill.

While that work continues, I know people also need immediate relief. If you need help with gas prices, groceries, housing, health care, taxes, and more, please visit our website. We have a new web page to connect hardworking Kansans with relief.

It’s an honor to serve you in the U.S. House of Representatives. If you have any questions or would like to share your views, please contact me.

My warmest regards,
