Dear constituent,
I wanted to tell you about an exciting opportunity we have this Congress to fund certain community projects that are vital to our community. Every year, when the federal government is creating a budget for the next fiscal year, we allocate some money to help initiatives in our community get the support they need. The process was just announced–and I wanted to make sure you knew about it as soon as possible.
Unfortunately, because of Republican policies, the CFP budget is significantly reduced in size and scope of this year. The budget is 50% of the previous two years and many categories of projects are no longer eligible. We understand how important these projects are and want to ensure that we fund as many critical projects across the district as possible, and are committed to communicating with you as early as possible so you can get your project in.
My office is looking for organizations across the district to support through this program. You can learn more about the criteria at my website: . If you think you have a project that would be a good fit for this special funding opportunity, I strongly encourage you to apply. Information on how to apply is also on my website.
My number one priority in Congress is to make sure your hard-earned tax dollars are being used to support our West Michigan community. That’s what this process is all about.
If you have any additional questions, or we can help in any way, feel free to call my office at (616) 551-8383. We look forward to working with you.
Sincerely,
Hillary Scholten Member of Congress
