Walberg Statement on Nomination of Linda McMahon as Education Secretary

Washington, D.C. -- Congressman Tim Walberg (MI-05) released the following statement after President-Elect Donald Trump nominated Linda McMahon to be Secretary of Education.

"Linda McMahon has a proven record of delivering results. She was an excellent SBA Administrator, and I have no doubt she will make an excellent Secretary of Education. Together, we will overhaul the Department of Education to better serve students and uphold the rights of parents. We will also root out the woke DEI initiatives that have poisoned climates on campuses across our country and threatened the safety of Jewish students. Our educational institutions must be better connected with real-world jobs and in-demand fields. This is something Linda understands, and I look forward to her swift confirmation so we can get to work and deliver for the American people."
