Friend,
It is my greatest honor to represent Michigan's 10th Congressional District in the United States House of Representatives. I am here to serve you, my constituent. If you need any help with a federal agency, or want to share your opinion, please reach out to my office.
Honoring Our Heroes
This upcoming Monday we will honor all those that lost their lives defending our country. There is no possible way for us to thank them and their families enough for their ultimate sacrifice.
Today, I introduced legislation to rename the Saint Clair Post Office after Marine Corporal Jeffrey Robert Standfest, who lost his life while serving in Afghanistan. Cpl. Standfest was only 23 years old when an improvised explosive devise struck and killed him while he was on foot patrol with his canine. Renaming this post office is the least we can do to honor his sacrifice.
This bipartisan legislation is cosponsored by: Reps. Bergman (R), Huizenga (R), Meijer (R), Moolenaar (R), Upton (R), Walberg (R), Levin (D), Stevens (D) and Dingell (D).

Visiting Businesses throughout MI-10

This week, I had the opportunity to visit multiple businesses throughout our district, including MEANS industries and KUKA Robotics. A common concern I hear from every visit is the lack of workers due to the federal enhanced unemployment benefits. To help our businesses that are struggling to recover from the pandemic, I sent a letter along with several of my Michigan colleagues urging Governor Whitmer to end Michigan's participation in the enhanced benefits. The government should never be encouraging people to stay home.

Town Halls
I am excited to announce my second round of town halls, taking place June 4th - 8th. Hearing from you is vital to representing you in Congress. Check out the flyer below for the times and locations. I look forward to seeing you there.

Agriculture Advisory Council

This week, I held my quarterly meeting with my agriculture advisory council. The repeal of the step-up in basis and increasing the death tax remain major concerns for our family farmers, and I will continue to work to ensure our farmers are protected from these unnecessary tax burdens.
We also discussed their concerns with the President's infrastructure proposal, their views on trade and how the Biden Administration's emphasis on climate will impact their work.
Agriculture is a vital industry in our district and I'm fighting everyday for our family farms.
