News from Congressman Brad Finstad

This past week, I had the pleasure of meeting with the American Ambulance Association in D.C. We had a great conversation about the need for life-saving access to ambulances and EMS services in rural areas.

I'm proud to support our rural EMS departments by making sure they have the resources they need to continue providing these essential services to our communities.

While in D.C., I was invited to speak at this year's convention for the Minnesota Police and Peace Officers Association. It was great opportunity to meet the law enforcement officers that keep our communities safe and hear about the challenges they face on the job every day.

I am proud to cosponsor H.R. 6132, the Public Safety Enhancement Act, introduced by Rep. Troy Nehls (TX-22), which would hire 100,000 law enforcement officers nationwide, as well as allow funds from the Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS) grant to be used for the hiring and retention of law enforcement officers.

Glad to talk with Mike from Darling Ingredients, Inc. about the importance of renewable diesel facilities. Darling Ingredients develops & produces sustainable natural ingredients from bio-nutrients used in the animal feed, fuel, and fertilizer industries. Thanks for the visit!

Back in the district, it was great to meet with the folks from Rolls-Royce Solutions America, Inc. Their Mankato facility provides more than 300 jobs in the community, manufacturing gas and diesel engine systems that serve customers in the defense industry, as well as the marine and infrastructure sectors. Grateful to their team for showing me around!

Wishing everyone across the First District a happy, healthy Thanksgiving. Let’s take time this week to enjoy our loved ones and count our blessings for all the great things we have.
