Dear Friend,
Even when votes on the House floor bring me to Washington, D.C., we are lucky to have a dedicated district team that participates in events and meets with constituents across the Sixth District. Read on to hear more about what our office has been up to…
Photos from the Minnesota Agricultural Expo
Earlier this month, our team attended the Minnesota Agricultural Expo. This event brings together industry leaders from across the state to network, plan, and discuss the latest developments in agriculture in Minnesota.
Members of our team recently attended the Minnesota Rural Electric Association Legislative Policy Forum. Currently, Minnesota’s electric cooperatives serve approximately a third of our state’s population--about 1.7 million Minnesotans. While at the forum, our staff spoke with the leaders of the electric cooperatives about the future of energy production and supply as our state continues to grow.
Finally, our District Chief of Staff spoke at the International Franchise Association Roundtable. This event brings together local franchisees, small business leaders, and elected officials to discuss Minnesota’s economy.
The International Franchise Association Roundtable
Currently, there are more than 14,000 local franchise businesses in Minnesota. These businesses generate nearly $14 billion in economic output annually and employ more than 140,000 Minnesotans. As a member of the Congressional Franchise Caucus, I remain committed to doing everything we can to support and strengthen the small business community in Minnesota.
