Dear Friend,

We’ve seen what the Biden administration thinks is fair play. The Department of Justice and the IRS have tried to sweep the Biden family’s corrupt dealings under the rug. Homeland Security Secretary Mayorkas has abandoned his oath of office rather than enforce the immigration laws on the books. The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency worked with big tech companies to censor their political opponents.

Why would we trust them with our personal financial information?

Earlier this month, the House Judiciary Committee brought to light that the Biden administration asked banks to search their customer transactions for terms like “MAGA” and “Trump” in order to weed out “extremism.” Other potential indications of “extremism?” Transactions with companies like Dick’s Sporting Goods, Bass Pro Shops and purchases of items like “religious texts.”

According to the Judiciary Committee, the Treasury Department’s Office of Stakeholder Integration and Engagement in the Strategic Operations of the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network, or FinCEN, provided banks with "suggested search terms and Merchant Category Codes for identifying transactions on behalf of federal law enforcement" in the investigations following January 6.

We established the Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government to fight against exactly this type of insidious behavior. We won’t turn a blind eye: we have asked the former head of FinCEN’s Strategic Operations Division to give us some answers on how this surveillance took place. We’ll keep you informed as we investigate this and other Biden administration wrongdoing.

Sincerely,
