President Biden is continuing his war on American energy.

Recently, the Biden administration announced its decision to indefinitely halt permit approvals for U.S. Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) export facilities. This is not just an attack on American energy, it’s an attack on our national security and our economy.  

When Russia invaded Ukraine, many European countries were struggling to replace the energy they had been buying from Russia. Thankfully, the American energy industry was able to fill the supply gaps and provide clean, American LNG to our allies. This enabled the United States to become the world’s largest exporter of liquefied natural gas in 2023.

But with the halt on export permit approvals, President Biden is weakening our economy, American jobs, and our national security.

This week, the House of Representatives passed the Unlocking Our Domestic LNG Potential Act. This legislation ends the Biden administration’s ban on American natural gas exports. This bill will also prevent political actors within the Department of Energy from blocking LNG export permits to appease the Biden administration’s far-left base.

Moving forward we will continue to seek common-sense solutions like the Unlocking Our Domestic LNG Potential Act to defend our national security, protect our allies, and support the U.S. economy.
