Community Project Funding - Applications Due April 25

Earlier this month, the House of Representatives received its guidance regarding Community Project Funding requests. With this funding, I can submit a request to fund specific projects in the Seventh District, so long as the project has a federal nexus and meets other requirements established by federal law, House Rules, and the Appropriations Committee to ensure only high-quality projects are requested and funded. You can see which projects from the Seventh District received funding last year on my website.

The Motorcycle Industry Council has been working to make sure motorcycling is fun, responsible, and safe since 1914. I got to talk to them about legislation that matters to them, like manufacturing tax credits, right-to-repair, and the Recreational Trails Program.

The Minnesota Trucking Association came to D.C.! Trucking makes up over 143,000 jobs in Minnesota and has a footprint in over 65,000 small businesses. It was great hearing their perspective on workforce development and supply chain solutions.

It’s always great seeing the Minnesota Pork Board – this time to talk about the Farm Bill, trade, and labor. I am working hard to make sure our producers have a voice in this Administration’s trade agenda.

I got to meet some of the students from Tri-County High School while they were in D.C. I hope you all enjoyed your trip!

UCare, the fourth-largest health plan in Minnesota, came to my office to talk about their Medicaid, Medicare Advantage, and ACA Marketplace priorities.

Mobile Office Hours in Breckenridge May 13

My office is holding mobile office hours at the Breckenridge Public Library on Tuesday, May 13, from 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM. No appointment necessary!

If you have questions or feedback for my office, now is your chance to talk with my congressional staff directly. They can help you with issues such as passport processing, veterans’ needs, tax refunds, Social Security benefits, and also connect them with federal agencies (FEMA, the FSA, and more).
