Democrats Vote Against Honoring Charlie Kirk
Following this summer's tragic attack on lawmakers in Minnesota that resulted in the murder of Melissa Hortman and her husband, the House of Representatives voted UNANIMOUSLY to pass a resolution condemning the attacks and calling for the rejection of political violence.
This week, the House passed a resolution calling for the same thing in the name of Charlie Kirk. And yet, 58 Democrats voted against this resolution, another 38 voted present, and 22 did not vote at all. This resolution was no different from the one I easily voted for earlier this year, and I am so disappointed in my Democrat colleagues that they are not willing to put their political views aside to show the country that we are a body unified against political violence. |
