Dear Friend:

Across Western Minnesota, my focus remains on strengthening our rural communities and delivering real results for our hard-working families and small businesses.

From sitting down with local leaders from the FMWF Chamber of Commerce to meeting with local county commissioners, I am fighting to secure critical federal funding for our roads, water systems, and infrastructure.

I was also honored to accept the 2026 Policy & Leadership Award at the American Coalition for Ethanol annual conference as we keep standing up for agricultural producers, biofuel production, and energy independence.

Connecting with Local Business Leaders

I joined leaders from the Fargo Moorhead West Fargo (FMWF) Chamber of Commerce for a legislative roundtable in Moorhead. We discussed the economy, local healthcare systems, and agricultural producers across Western Minnesota. Our discussion focused on legislative efforts to support rural community financing and domestic supply chains. We also covered economic initiatives, including small-business tax relief, rural housing expansion, and strategic national defense policy. I was glad to provide updates on ongoing international trade reviews regarding USMCA and agricultural export access.

Funding Infrastructure Upgrades

It was great to join county commissioners and local leadership from across the district to discuss federal accountability and key investments in Western Minnesota. Our conversation focused on bringing federal funding directly to our local communities. Through the Community Project Funding process, I successfully secured key investments for critical local projects, including $1.75 million for Elizabeth’s water and sewer replacement, $1 million for West Union’s wastewater infrastructure, and $750,000 for Barnesville’s water main reconstruction.

I was honored to speak at the American Coalition of Ethanol’s annual conference and am so grateful to be awarded their 2026 Policy & Legislative Leadership Award! Our growers, biofuel producers, and fuel retailers are critical to our nation's economy and energy independence, and I will continue the fight for year-round E15 and support the legislation our ethanol industry deserves!
