Dear Friend:

As the weather cools down, the fight against fraud is still heating up. Last week, I joined Vice President Vance in pledging to protect your tax dollars. I also heard from city officials in Holdingford about much-needed water and wastewater improvements, and from Rotochopper leaders about how I can help support manufacturers across the state.

Addressing Holdingford’s Infrastructure Needs

I met with Holdingford city officials to discuss the city’s aging water and wastewater infrastructure and the need for upgrades. They noted federal funding will be needed to complete these improvements. Earlier this year, I secured more than $9 million for 11 similar infrastructure projects across our district, including $1,750,000 for the City of Elizabeth's water systems. I will keep fighting for federal funding that helps Western Minnesotan communities, like Holdingford, improve their local infrastructure.

Supporting Western Minnesota's Manufacturers

I visited Rotochopper in St. Martin to meet with company leadership and learn more about their impressive growth, workforce development, and operations. We discussed the company’s strong employee retention, employee stock ownership program, and partnership with a local technical college. We also discussed USMCA trade provisions and their impact on Minnesota businesses. As a member of the House Ways and Means Committee and its Trade Subcommittee, I can take Rotochopper's insights back to Washington to ensure our local manufacturers are heard.

Fighting for Lower Diesel Costs

I led Minnesota’s Republican congressional delegation in sending a letter to Governor Walz urging him to reconsider his decision to reject President Trump’s executive order allowing red dye diesel to be used on highways. This lower-cost fuel option could save farmers and truckers over $60 per tank, providing real relief for harvest season.

While North Dakota and other neighboring states took steps to let their producers benefit from these savings, Minnesota’s refusal leaves our farmers and truckers paying more to move crops. When farmers pay more to harvest and move their crops, those costs get passed along and raise grocery prices for Minnesota families.

Pledging To Protect Your Tax Dollars

I am proud to join Vice President Vance in our pledge to keep fighting to protect Americans from fraud. Hardworking Minnesotans deserve to know their tax dollars are being used responsibly, not stolen by fraudsters.

President Trump is taking additional action to expose fraud with a new $25 million Fraud Whistleblower Incentive Program. The program offers whistleblowers a 1% reward for information that leads to criminal charges in covered fraud cases. To submit a tip, visit the Department of Justice website or click here.

Our state has seen firsthand the consequences of unchecked fraud, and we must keep working to expose it. I am committed to strengthening oversight, supporting efforts to investigate and prosecute fraud, and ensuring those who steal taxpayer money face consequences.
