Dear Friend,
I came to Congress to fix how Washington works and to bring real relief for families, farmers, and small business owners across our district. Here’s how I am delivering for you:
FOR PARENTS:
H.R.1 is loaded with benefits for parents and workers, including:
- First $31,500 tax-free income
- $2,200 child tax credit
- No taxes on tips and overtime
- Auto loan interest deduction
- Expanded tax credits for school choice and foster care
FOR CHILDREN:
Trump Investment Accounts set children up for success later in life.
- Complete Form 4547 to open a new Trump Account for any child under 18.
- For those born between 2025 and 2028, a $1,000 start-up contribution will be made.
- That single contribution could grow to $243,000 by the time your child turns 55.1
FOR SENIORS:
Protecting your legacy for the next generation.
- This legislation makes Social Security tax free for 88% of seniors by offering a $6,000 bonus deduction ($12,000 for married couples filing jointly).2
- The legislation expands Death Tax exemptions to $15 million for individuals ($30 for couples) and gives grandparents the opportunity to contribute to a child’s Trump Account, making it easier to pass your legacy to the next generation.
FOR FARMERS, WORKERS, & SMALL BUSINESSES:
Putting more money back in the pockets of hard-working Americans.
- USDA Commodity Program: Payment cap raised from $125K to $155K per person.
- Small Business Deduction: 20% deduction permanently for family farms and small businesses.
- Bonus Depreciation: 100% first-year write-off for qualified property bought after Jan 19, 2025.
- Estate Tax Relief: Exemption raised to $15M ($30M for couples) permanently, helping families pass on farms and businesses.
- No Tax on Tips or Overtime: Resulting in up to $10,500 more in take-home pay.3
These provisions deliver on the pro-family, pro-farm, and pro-business priorities that matter most to Western North Carolina.

How have you seen relief this tax season? |
