Friends,

It was a busy week traveling across New Hampshire, meeting with hardworking Granite Staters to discuss what matters most to them. From Concord to Bethlehem to Littleton and Chichester to Hollis, I had important conversations about how Congress can deliver for our communities.

For real-time updates on my work, I hope you’ll follow me on Facebook, Instagram, Threads, Bluesky, Twitter, and YouTube.

PROTECTING YOUR HEALTHCARE

Image

Tuesday morning, I joined the rest of New Hampshire’s federal delegation to speak out against the Republicans’ Big, Brutal budget.

Hardworking families across New Hampshire will pay the price and bear the burdens of the GOP’s big and truly brutal budget bill

The bill adds trillions of dollars to America’s already sky-high debt and rips healthcare away from millions of Americans by making the biggest cuts to healthcare in American history. It kills good-paying jobs and will jack up healthcare costs, energy costs, education costs, and more.

 Image

Organizations like Waypoint, which I visited this week, rely on Medicaid to provide life-changing services to their patients. They are why we will never give up this fight.

At a moment when the cost crisis is standing between hardworking Americans and the American dream, I was a hard no on this bill. I’ll never stop working to prevent its worst provisions from going into effect.

Watch my remarks against this legislation at a press conference earlier this week here.

New Hampshire thrives when we support one another. That truth was on full display this week in Concord, where I met with the extraordinary team at Fellowship Housing Opportunities.

Proud to be a partner in Fellowship Housing Opportunities' work.

We had an important conversation about how housing is mission-critical to tackling our mental healthcare crisis and the crucial role Medicaid plays in the lives of Granite Staters.

ADVOCATING FOR NEW HAMPSHIRE’S NORTH COUNTRY

On Wednesday, I had the opportunity to spend some time in the North Country, meeting with some of the local leaders and small businesses that define the community.

Thank you to the incredible team at The Rocks for having me!

I started the morning with a visit to The Rocks in Bethlehem, where I joined the Society for the Protection of New Hampshire Forests to discuss their work and how Congress can help protect and preserve the natural resources that make New Hampshire the best place to call home.

New Hampshire’s forests are a national treasure, and they are essential to our economy and our way of life. I am proud to protect them.

Thank you to Littleton Police Chief Smith, Littleton Town Manager Troy Brown, Littleton Board of Selectmen Kerri Harrington, and Executive Director, Littleton Area Chamber of Commerce Angel Larcom, for joining me in Littleton.

In the afternoon, I headed over to Littleton for a visit to Jack and Fin’s, where I sat down with local leaders for a delicious lunch and discussion about the community’s priorities and how Congress can be a partner.

Then, we walked around Main Street and visited some local small businesses, including Little Town Brews, Tailswag, Lahout’s Summit Shop, Northern Lights Music, and Chutters. Our small businesses are the lifeblood of our state’s economy and our communities, and I am proud to advocate for them on the House Small Business Committee.

Finally, we ended at the Littleton Community Center,  a centerpiece of downtown Littleton, and a building full of history and opportunity.

I had a productive conversation with Center leadership and staff about their work in the community and how federal funding I am fighting for in Congress will support their mission.

LOWERING COSTS FOR HARDWORKING GRANITE STATERS

Image

Proud to bring the voices and priorities of New Hampshire’s sawmills and lumberyards to Congress.

On Thursday, I spent the afternoon in Chichester with the amazing team at Goosebay Sawmill & Lumber. This family-owned and solar-powered sawmill and lumberyard has been a staple for New Hampshire’s wood production and supply for 45 years.

I am grateful to ReVision Energy and the NH Small Business Development Center for their important role in putting game-changing federal programs to work that have lowered costs and helped deliver reliable, clean power for Goosebay Lumber.

Great conversations with the crew at Goosebay Sawmill & Lumber about the impact solar has had on their operations.

I’ll never stop working in Congress to lower costs so New Hampshire’s small businesses can thrive.

Learn more about my work fighting against President Trump’s trade wars here.

Hardworking Granite Staters are paying the price for President Trump’s unlawful and reckless trade wars. That’s not right, and that’s why this week, I filed a legal brief challenging President Donald Trump’s sweeping and chaotic tariffs that were unlawfully imposed under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA).

Read the brief for yourself here.

I will continue using every tool I have – from Congress to the courts – to hold this administration accountable and protect what matters most.

SECURING EVERY PENNY THAT NEW HAMPSHIRE SCHOOLS WERE PROMISED

Image

Read my full letter to the Trump Administration here.

There is no higher purpose for federal funding than supporting New Hampshire’s students. But, earlier this month, the Trump Administration declined to release nearly $7 billion in congressionally-directed federal funding for our schools, including $27 million for New Hampshire.

That is unacceptable and puts our children’s future at risk.

This week, I sent a letter to the Trump Administration and Secretary of Education Linda McMahon demanding the immediate release of this funding. I will never stop fighting to deliver the federal dollars our students were promised.

BRINGING THE VOICES AND PRIORITIES OF NH FIREFIGHTERS TO CONGRESS

Image

Our firefighters are true American heroes, and I am proud to bring their voices to Congress.

New Hampshire firefighters and first responders put their lives on the line every day to keep us safe. These true American heroes deserve our full support.

This week, I was honored to join the New Hampshire Fire Chiefs at the New Hampshire Fire Academy to discuss how Congress can deliver for our brave first responders.

 Image

Thank you to the New Hampshire Fire Chiefs for hosting me this week and giving me a tour of the New Hampshire Fire Academy.

In Congress, I am pushing to finally pass the Honoring Our Fallen Heroes Act, bipartisan and bicameral legislation to fill a gap in existing law and ensure the leading cause of death for firefighters is covered by federal benefits. Currently, the Public Safety Officer Benefits (PSOB) program — which provides benefits to first responders injured in the line of duty and to their families — only extends protection to first responders suffering from a narrow list of injuries and illnesses. This bill would fill a gap in PSOB coverage for more first responders and their families.

DELIVERING CRITICAL MILITARY AID TO UKRAINE

Image

Read my letters to the Department of Defense here and here.

Ukraine is in the fight for its life to defend its freedom and its democracy. A weakened Ukraine makes America less safe and the world even more dangerous. The United States should be doing what it has done for my entire lifetime: stand up to Russian aggression and forcefully work to end its unjust war of aggression against a free and sovereign nation.

Instead, the Trump Administration has repeatedly chosen to stand with Russia.

The Trump Administration’s move to pause shipments of critical munitions and arms to Ukraine undermines our national security and goes against the very values of our nation. That’s why I joined a bipartisan, bicameral group to demand that the Administration reverse course and stand with the people of Ukraine. I was relieved to see that, following my advocacy, the Administration announced the renewal of weapons support for Ukraine.

I believe deeply in the cause of freedom in Ukraine and will always stand up to Vladimir Putin’s aggression.

HOLDING DRUG TRAFFICKERS ACCOUNTABLE

Image

Read the full letter here.

Federal, state, and local partners must continue doing everything we can to combat drug trafficking, hold illicit distributors accountable under the law, and help save lives.

President Trump’s plan to cut funding for the High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area program is bad news for New Hampshire and America. That’s why I’m working to protect this program and the federal funding that helps hold drug traffickers accountable.

Read more about my work supporting drug interdiction efforts here.

COMBATTING WASTE, FRAUD, AND ABUSE IN THE GOVERNMENT

Image

Read my full letter here.

I’m working every day in Congress to make government work better for hardworking people here in New Hampshire, including by cracking down on waste, fraud, and abuse wherever it may be. One of the most important partners in this work is the U.S. Government Accountability Office — aka “GAO” — our independent, nonpartisan watchdog that saves us billions in taxpayer dollars.

The Trump Administration is trying to put America’s watchdog out of business. We’re fighting back.

Read more about my work to protect the agency responsible for rooting out waste, fraud, and abuse here.
