STANDING UP FOR OUR SERVICEMEMBERS AND VETERANS
We owe a sacred obligation to the women and men who dedicate their lives to serving our country, whether in uniform or as civilians. In Congress, I am focused on living up to that obligation and delivering for our servicemembers, veterans, and shipyard workers.

I was proud to secure critical wins for New Hampshire’s servicemembers, veterans, and our future in the House-passed National Defense Authorization Act. Learn more about what I’m fighting for here.
The women and men of the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard — America’s first and finest public shipyard — are critical to our national security.

I had a great visit and powerful discussion this week with Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz and Congresswoman Chellie Pingree – two senior members of the House Appropriations Committee – about how we can work in Congress to support the Shipyard’s vital mission and workforce. I look forward to bringing our conversation back to Congress and to the House Armed Services Committee.

The incredible team at the Manchester VA Medical Center helps us live up to the sacred obligation we owe to our veterans every single day. I had a great visit there this week to discuss my legislation.
After we visited the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, Congresswoman Wasserman Schultz and I continued the conversation about how Congress can help deliver for New Hampshire, our servicemembers, and our veterans at the VA Medical Center. We also talked about how to finally secure a full-service VA Hospital for New Hampshire, the only state in the continental U.S. without such a facility.

The WINGS Act lays the groundwork for smarter flight medicine, better mental health support, and policy reforms that prioritize both mission readiness and long-term aviator health.
The brave women and men who serve our country as aviators go to the extremes to keep our nation safe. They test the boundaries of what is possible, and we owe these American heroes a sacred obligation.
This week, I helped introduce the WINGS Act, bipartisan legislation to ensure we fully understand the long-term brain and mental health impact of service on America’s military aviators and ensure our servicemembers and veterans get the care they deserve.

To all of the Korean War veterans living in our state and at the New Hampshire Veterans Home and beyond: thank you.
I grew up in a household where the Korean War loomed large. Last week, I was honored to be with veterans and military families at the New Hampshire Veterans Home in Tilton and the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen to thank the brave Korean War veterans in New Hampshire and beyond.

I’m grateful to the Korean-American Society of New Hampshire and everyone who helped make the incredible ceremony at the NH Veterans Cemetery possible.
