WHAT I’M HEARING FROM NEW HAMPSHIRE’S SMALL BUSINESSES
Hearing directly from New Hampshire’s small businesses is one of my top priorities in Congress.
This week, I hosted a roundtable at the Copper Door in Salem with leaders to discuss the challenges small businesses are facing in New Hampshire and to look for new ways for local and congressional partners to work together to support small businesses.

Grateful for the New Hampshire small businesses that joined me for an important conversation about bringing their voices to my work in Congress.
We covered a lot of ground, and I heard from a wide range of industries: hospitality to healthcare, construction to banking, land surveying to life sciences. Lots of agreement around the table.
Two key points stood out: (1) big corporations have way too much power in America today; and (2) small businesses are paying big time for Donald Trump’s senseless trade wars. Congress can do something about both problems, and that’s exactly what I’m working to do.

New Hampshire’s farmers are the beating heart of our supply chains and stewards of our way of life.
As the great-granddaughter of New Hampshire family farmers, I know how important our farms are to the health of our communities and economy.

Watch more from my visit to some of our New Hampshire family farms here.
This week, I spent a fantastic afternoon visiting with family farmers in Penacook, Concord, and Plymouth. Big Ag has way too much power in America, and I’m proud to fight for New Hampshire’s family farmers in Congress.
Fighting for our farmers and standing with local manufacturers go hand in hand in building a brighter future. Connection is core to who we are as a state and a country – and that includes in our defense systems.
In Lisbon, I got to see how New England Wire is making America safer and stronger through innovative manufacturing. I’m proud to bring their voices to Congress on the House Armed Services Committee and the House Small Business Committee.

Thank you to the team at New England Wire Technologies for the tour and important conversations.
Not only are New Hampshire’s small businesses key drivers of our economy, they also define our communities. Canobie Lake Park is one of our state’s top tourist destinations – drawing families and visitors, all while supporting our local economy and jobs.

Incredible time at Canobie Lake Park visiting with families and staff.
Fun visit to the park this week to discuss their operations, to learn how I can help fight for them in Congress, and to see once again what makes this great park such a New Hampshire staple. |
