Friends,
As many of you may know, there was a tragic shooting on Saturday night in Nashua’s Sky Meadow community.
My heart is with Rob DeCesare, his family, and every person touched by the deadly violence at Sky Meadow. Rob DeCesare was an extraordinary man who saved the lives of others seconds before he was shot dead in a senseless act of violence. His heroism weighs heavily on me, and I will never forget his courage and love for our community.
What happened in Nashua was heartbreak and heroism, all in one. I am grateful from the bottom of my heart to the Good Samaritans of Nashua, our first responders, Nashua Fire Rescue, Nashua Police Department, and all of our law enforcement partners. These heroes acted with courage and love to save lives, care for the victims of the Sky Meadow shootings, and keep Nashua safe during a time of tragedy.

New Hampshire stands for love and unity over hate and division.
On Sunday night, we gathered together in community at a vigil, and the spirit I felt in front of Nashua City Hall that night is exactly what we need in our country right now. It is a spirit that is, at bottom, about courage, and even more deeply about love for one another. It is time for us to come together to turn the pain of that night into purpose to stop this senseless violence.

May God Bless Nashua.

MAKING NEW HAMPSHIRE AFFORDABLE AGAIN
Today, the sky-high cost of living is standing between people across New Hampshire and the American Dream. In Congress, I am working to lower your costs across the board: from healthcare to housing to groceries to gas.
One week ago, I voted for a budget that would lower your sky-high costs, protect healthcare for millions of Americans, restore to Congress basic constitutional responsibilities that the President has lawlessly ripped away, and keep our government open.
Remarkably, Republicans blocked that commonsense budget and senselessly left town. If Republicans keep refusing to do their jobs, they will cause the government to shut down in just 4 days.
That’s not right. And I let Speaker of the House Mike Johnson know. Read our letter here.
Read our letter here.
I’m not giving up this fight, and I’m using every tool I can to deliver for hardworking people who are feeling a lot of pain right now.

If something drastic happens in your life — sickness, a family emergency — you deserve to be able to take time off work without worrying about going bankrupt.
Life comes at you fast, and it’s not right that working people across New Hampshire are living one medical emergency away from bankruptcy, homelessness, or worse. Yet, 73% of American workers do not have access to paid leave.
In Congress, I’m working to build an economy that works for hardworking people. That’s why I am proud to help introduce commonsense legislation, the FAMILY Act, to guarantee up to 12 weeks of partial income for workers who have to take leave for serious medical and family events.
Learn more about this legislation, which would help support our families and economy.

Read my full letter to U.S. Secretary of Labor Lori Chavez-DeRemer here.
Since January of this year, 330,000 hardworking women have left the workforce. That should shock everyone.
In far too many cases, women in our state are forced to make the painful choice to leave their jobs because they cannot afford the childcare they need to stay on the job.
That’s not right. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: the answer to the childcare cost crisis cannot be: “Women can just stay at home.” This is not the answer.

Learn more about my work to address the childcare crisis from WMUR here.
We must do better. When women are forced out of the workforce, we pay the price. That’s why I’m pressing the Trump Administration and Department of Labor to address this crisis that is hurting New Hampshire families and our economy, and leading efforts in Congress to make childcare affordable for all. |
FIGHTING FOR OUR PUBLIC SCHOOLS
This week, I convened a roundtable at Franklin Middle School with students, educators, parents, principals, superintendents, school board members, and advocates from across New Hampshire who have been impacted by the Trump Administration’s decisions to gut millions in education funding promised to communities across New Hampshire.
These cuts are hitting the hardest-hit schools in our state, including in Franklin, Claremont, Pittsfield, Stewartstown, Lisbon, Berlin, Newport, and Nashua. During our two-hour discussion in Franklin, I heard directly from dozens of Granite Staters from across generations whose lives have been changed for the better because of the very programs that the Trump Administration has put on the chopping block.

Watch WCAX’s coverage of our conversation in Franklin here.

Read more about how the Trump Administration’s senseless and heartless cuts to education are hurting New Hampshire’s students from the Concord Monitor here.
These cuts are truly tragic and utterly senseless. They will hurt communities that are counting on us most — from Franklin to Stewartstown, Claremont to Lisbon, Pittsfield to Berlin, and Newport to Nashua. I will not stop working to deliver every penny that was promised to New Hampshire.

Teaching is the ultimate act of optimism and the safeguard of our democracy.
America’s early childhood educators pour their hearts into their work, and far too often, their own money, just to do their jobs. These educators deserve the same tax deduction that other teachers get.
That’s why I am proud to lead the SEED Act, a commonsense, bipartisan bill that will do just that.

TAKING ON POLITICAL CORRUPTION
This past week marked 238 years since our founding fathers signed the Constitution, enshrining that immortal document into the fabric of America.
Today, we are living in the midst of the most ruthless and senseless assault on our Constitution in American history. One of the key drivers of this assault is corruption in American politics. That’s why I am leading efforts to take on corruption in American politics head-on.
On Constitution Day, I helped introduce a constitutional amendment that would overturn Citizens United and check the outrageous power that big corporations and billionaires are abusing in American politics.
For 15 years, the Supreme Court’s dead-wrong decision in Citizens United has unleashed chaos and corruption across America. It broke our campaign finance system and paved the way for big corporations and billionaires to seize unprecedented power. This amendment is a critical first step to fixing our broken system and bringing power back to We the People.
I am also leading the Restore Trust in Congress Act, bipartisan legislation to prohibit Members of Congress from owning, buying, or selling individual stocks, securities, commodities, futures, and other comparable assets.

Learn more about the Restore Trust in Congress Act here.
I have dedicated my life to delivering a fair deal for the people of New Hampshire – that includes ensuring our representatives in Congress are focused on fighting for our state, not their own bottom lines.
Our bill is commonsense: Members of Congress, who rely on the public’s trust to do their jobs and who have access to privileged information by virtue of their position, should not be trading stocks.
I’m proud to fight to make sure your voices are heard – not the voices of big corporations. That’s why I am leading a third important effort on this front: prohibiting for-profit corporations from funding political campaigns and influencing elections.
For our democracy to work, the American people must have the biggest say in who and what is driving our government, not big corporations. But today I’m one of the few Members of Congress who has never taken a penny from a corporate PAC. That shouldn’t be the case. The people of New Hampshire know that our campaign finance system has been broken for a long time. The Ban Corporate PACs Act is a commonsense place to start, and that’s why I’m proud to help lead it.

ADVOCATING FOR NEW HAMPSHIRE SMALL BUSINESSES
Small businesses are the beating heart of New Hampshire’s economy — and I am doing everything I can to deliver the tools they need to thrive, including online.
This past week, during a Small Business Committee hearing, I highlighted the inspiring ways New Hampshire small businesses are leveraging social media for the good of our communities.

Watch how Littleton’s Tailswag is using social media for the good of the community here.

I had the chance to visit Paige and Tailswag earlier this year. Check out Dachtoberfest the weekend of October 4, 2025, here.
As I’ve heard from small businesses across New Hampshire, a few common enemies have emerged, one of which is red tape and senseless rules that are costing people big time. That’s why I pressed leadership at the Small Business Administration last week about the red tape and outdated rules that are requiring New Hampshire small businesses to hire an army of lawyers to complete the most basic tasks.

Listen to my full committee remarks about cutting red tape for our small businesses here.
In Congress, I will never stop fighting to cut red tape anywhere I can.

HONORING AND PROTECTING OUR SERVICEMEMBERS
This past weekend at the New Hampshire Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen, I joined in community with Rolling Thunder, fellow veterans, and military families to honor the bravest of the brave — American prisoners of war and patriots who are still missing in action.

I am carrying in my heart the brave Americans who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our nation.
These patriots are not forgotten and never will be. I will never stop working to deliver on the sacred promise we make as Americans to these heroes and their loved ones.

Grateful for the brave Granite Staters — including members of the Civil Air Patrol who I was with this past week in Boscawen — who dedicate their lives to our country.
Our Civil Air Patrol is America's volunteer civilian arm of the United States Air Force. It plays a critical role in protecting our nation and inspiring the next generation of servicemembers through its Cadet Program.
But I am deeply concerned about glaring and unacceptable deficiencies in the Civil Air Patrol’s sexual abuse prevention program. That’s why I am calling on the Civil Air Patrol to immediately take action and correct gaps in the Cadet Protection Program, which is designed to prevent sexual abuse.
As your Congresswoman, I am demanding answers and accountability to protect young Americans interested in pursuing military service and re-establish trust in our Armed Forces.
