Message from Member of Congress ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌

Daniel,

Insurance companies treat our healthcare system like their personal piggy bank, pocketing your premiums, denying your claims, and jacking up out-of-pocket costs.

While they make record profits, Upstate New Yorkers are struggling just to pay the bills. It has to change.

That’s why I introduced the bipartisan Care Over Profits Act to force insurance companies to spend more on your actual care and less on their own bottom line. But first, I want to know where you stand:

Do you agree that your premiums should be spent on actual medical care instead of corporate profits?

Thanks for participating in this survey, and helping me better represent you. By responding to this survey, you are opting in to text, email and phone updates from our office.

My bill is straightforward: it makes insurance companies spend at least 85% of premium revenue on actual care and quality improvements. It also cracks down on the agents and brokers who fraudulently change your plans without your consent.

This is about basic accountability. The money you pay for health insurance belongs to you, and it should go towards your care, not their corporate profits. I’ll keep fighting every day to lower costs and make sure our healthcare system works for patients, not just Wall Street.

As always, to stay up to date with the work I’m doing, follow along on my official social media pages at @RepRileyNY on X, Facebook, and Instagram. If there’s anything my team or I can do to help you, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

With gratitude and high hopes,
