Dear Friend,
The St. Paul Rodeo has been a beloved event here in the Willamette Valley since the very first one was held on July 4th, 1936. Known as the “Nation’s Greatest Fourth of July Rodeo,” this Independence Day tradition brings thousands of visitors to St. Paul every year – which is great for our local culture and economy!
I enjoyed my visit to the rodeo last week, where I got to tour the grounds, see the livestock corrals, and check out the Hall of Fame display. As a former barrel racer myself, I even considered taking the reins again (but ultimately left that to the pros!).

The rodeo wouldn’t be possible without the devoted folks who volunteer their time and help make it a reality year after year. It’s one of the many things that makes our community special!
That’s why I recently took the House floor to recognize the St. Paul Rodeo and celebrate its invaluable contribution to our heritage and way of life. You can watch my full speech here or below.
Thanks for having me, and happy 248th birthday to our great Nation!
Be well,
Andrea Salinas Member of Congress
