Dear Friend,
Last week, I took the oath of office to continue serving as U.S. Representative for the people of Oregon’s Sixth District.

I am honored and humbled that you and your neighbors have again entrusted me with the responsibility of being your voice in Congress. As I begin my second term, I promise to work with anyone—Republican, Democrat, or Independent—who shares my commitment to delivering results and bringing down costs for working families. My sole priority is passing policies that will make life safer and more affordable for Oregonians.
I also recently received my committee assignments for the 119th Congress. I am proud to say that I will continue to serve on both the House Agriculture and House Science, Space, and Technology Committees.
As a member of the Agriculture Committee, I will keep fighting to pass a strong, bipartisan Farm Bill that levels the playing field for Oregon growers and includes much-needed specialty crop insurance reform, disaster relief for farmworkers, more resources to help prevent and combat wildfires, and so many other top priorities for our rural neighbors.
Furthermore, I will continue working as a member of the Science, Space, and Technology Committee to deliver robust investments for Oregon’s Silicon Forest, create more good-paying jobs, and solidify our state’s position as a leader in technology and scientific innovation for decades to come.
My service on these Committees, in addition to taking on new leadership roles in the Congressional Hispanic Caucus and New Democrat Coalition, will help ensure that Oregonians have a seat at the policymaking table.
Thank you again for trusting me to serve as your voice in Congress. Please do not hesitate to reach out to my office if you have questions or need help with a federal agency. You can reach us by calling (503) 385-0906 or by visiting my website.
I look forward to the work ahead.
Be well,
Andrea Salinas Member of Congress |
