Dear Friend,
I have a special invitation for you and an update on the work I am doing for your families!
On Monday, August 25, 2025, from 12 pm to 1 pm PT, my office will be hosting a virtual casework hour to assist you with any issues or questions you may have about a federal agency. To join the call, RSVP by clicking here to receive an email with the link on the day of the event. If you are unable to attend, please visit salinas.house.gov/casework.
Also, make sure to share my event with at least one friend.

Last Wednesday, I spent the day with farmers and agricultural associations across Oregon’s Sixth District. I started in Salem at AgWest Farm Credit for a conversation with farm insurance users and providers. Crop insurance helps our growers access the tools they need to stay resilient. We then headed to the first farm of the day, Minto Island Growers Organic Farm, where I saw their production areas, which included vegetables and tea. Next up was River Otter Farms, which grows 25 acres of different varieties of delicious Oregon blueberries in St. Paul. We finished the tour at Berger International in Yamhill County, which produces grass seed and hazelnuts, which are vital to our agricultural industry.
Our community's agriculture is a pillar of our nation's economy. As a member of the House Agriculture Committee, I will continue working on policies that strengthen today’s harvests and tomorrow’s food security.
I started my morning last Thursday at the Woodburn Rotary Club. It was great to connect with community members and share updates about my work in Congress. Woodburn is one of the fastest-growing cities in the state, and I will keep working with community leaders to ensure that our cities have the tools they need to thrive for generations to come.
Later, I joined my friend and colleague, Senator Ron Wyden, for a roundtable in Salem with Oregon business leaders to discuss the very real consequences that tariffs are having on our economy. Oregon relies on trade, exporting $31.3 billion of goods in 2024 alone. President Trump’s reckless unilateral tariffs are squeezing our businesses, putting jobs at risk, and raising prices for hardworking families. Amid all this economic uncertainty, know that I am pushing for solutions that help Oregon’s people and businesses succeed.
From there, Senator Wyden and I headed to Monmouth, where we held a joint town hall at Western Oregon University. Hundreds of you came and made your voices heard. Senator Wyden and I shared updates on the work we’re doing for Polk County, the Willamette Valley, and our great state. I am incredibly thankful to those who came out to be a part of the conversation, and I look forward to your continued engagement.
Please know that you can always write to me about the issues that matter most to you. Contact me at salinas.house.gov/contact.
Be well,
Andrea Salinas Member of Congress
