Dear Neighbor,

This weekend, we celebrate America's 250th anniversary. It's a milestone for our nation, and a milestone for Western Pennsylvania. I love this country, and I know you do, too.

That's why this week, I released a brand-new video on my YouTube channel and across my social media highlighting our region's role in American history.

From Erie and the War of 1812 to Edwin Drake's discovery of oil in Titusville that launched the American oil industry we know today, to the birth of the Jeep in Butler during World War II, Western Pennsylvanians have made this country what it is today.

I also recently launched a new section on my website to commemorate America's 250th anniversary. Here, you will find just some of my legislation I have sponsored or co-sponsored to support this historic event and to highlight Western Pennsylvania's role in American history.

It's also important to remember the reason we can celebrate this milestone in our nation's history -- 1.5 million men and women in uniform have made the ultimate sacrifice for our nation. I want to thank everyone who has defended this great country throughout its history. We are grateful for your service.
