I just wrapped up our session week in Washington where House Republicans agreed to a resolution with a clear message: socialism and communism have no place in the United States of America.

We also held an important hearing in the Ways & Means Committee highlighting the need to secure critical minerals and supply chains to combat China.

August District Work Period Recap

Throughout the month, my team and I completed more than 80 stops around Pennsylvania's 16th Congressional District. We covered all six counties where we met with constituents, held our annual Veteran Resource Fair, toured local businesses, and a whole lot more.

50+ organizations join our Veteran Resource Fair in Meadville

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our annual Veteran Resource Fair in Meadville!

It was an honor to connect veterans, active-duty service members, and their families with more than 50 organizations offering important services, resources, and support.

A special thank you to Crawford County Veterans Services and all of our participating organizations for helping make this event possible. We remain committed to serving those who have so bravely served our nation.

Did you know: More than 42,000 civilian veterans reside in PA-16, according to Census data.

Seeking answers about the future of the
South Erie Post Office

In August, I met with Erie residents who remain concerned that the South Erie Post Office has been closed for nearly a year.

Soon after that meeting, I sent a letter with U.S. Senator John Fetterman to the Postmaster General urging the U.S. Postal Service to reopen the South Erie Post Office to properly serve Erie residents who rely on this facility for essential services.

The South Erie Post Office, located on Poplar Street, suspended operations in October 2025 for repairs and remains closed as of August 2026. USPS officials have informed lawmakers that the facility is expected to reopen in November 2026.

Erie residents who do not drive struggle to access alternative post offices, while others report long waits at retail counters to retrieve their rerouted mail. My team and I will continue to press for answers.

Federal funding for Butler County first responders

Local volunteer fire departments provide critical, life-saving services in our communities.

Last week, I had the honor of joining the Connoquenessing Volunteer Fire Company in Butler County for a groundbreaking ceremony at their new department headquarters. My team and I secured $2 million in federal funding for the project in 2024. These are your tax dollars at work in your community.

Thank you to these great first responders for all they do for communities throughout Butler County!
