Washington, DC Update
This week, I was proud to honor the Lampeter-Strasburg School District High School Softball team for their PIAA 5A Championship on the House floor. Congratulations on your victory! Click below to watch my comments.

This week during a Ways and Means Committee meeting I discussed how President Biden wants to tax family-owned farms. Ninety-nine percent of farms in our district are family-owned and operated, and many are multi-generational but the Biden administration wants to tax them out of existence when the business moves from one generation to the next.

The cost of higher education has skyrocketed. House Republicans support policies that will increase positive student outcomes and control costs. Listen to my comments from a Ways and Means Oversight Subcommittee hearing below.

Happy Independence Day 
As we gather with loved ones this weekend to celebrate the birth of our nation’s independence 245 years ago today, we should reflect on and give thanks for all the rights and opportunities our nation affords us.

We must pay tribute to all those who have lost their lives and those who fought to defend our American experiment in self-governance, freedoms granted by our Creator, and the opportunities every American has. We must also thank those who are still fighting to defend our freedoms, our brave men and women sacrificing to serve in the United States Armed Forces.

The United States of America serves as a beacon of hope, liberty, and democracy around the world.
