Honored to Serve
It is an honor and a privilege to serve the constituents of Pennsylvania’s 11th Congressional District and to be your voice in our nation’s capital. I will continue to be a voice for fiscal responsibility in Washington, to push back on the unchecked growth of our nation’s debt and deficit. After two years of Democrats’ one-party rule in Washington, our nation faces many crises. I look forward to working with my colleagues to advance policies to get our nation back on track.

My staff and I will continue to do everything we can to assist constituents who contact our office. Please reach out with your thoughts and ideas, or if we may ever be of assistance, please do not hesitate to contact our offices. It would be an honor to assist you.

As we begin the 118th Congress, I want to share with you how my office was able to respond to constituents and assist them with federal agencies last year.

Getting to Work

I was proud to support Rep. Kevin McCarthy’s election to Speaker of the House. Our new House Republican Conference is organized and energized to get America back on track. We hit the ground running this week, passing several important pieces of legislation.

The first bill considered by the House was the Family and Small Business Taxpayer Protection Act. Last year, President Biden signed the so-called “Inflation Reduction Act” into law.  That legislation was never about addressing rampant inflation caused by his own spending policies. Instead, the legislation doubled down on inflationary spending and threw billions at the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) to hire 87,000 new enforcement agents specifically to audit hardworking middle-class Americans and small businesses. Our legislation repeals the billions in enforcement funding to the IRS to protect the middle class and small businesses.

Additionally, the Family and Small Business Taxpayer Protection Act does keep in place the funding for technology and customer service improvements at the IRS. I hear constantly from constituents across Pennsylvania’s 11th District, that the IRS is failing in its customer service mission. An effective government is a responsive government. The IRS needs to make significant efforts to improve its responsiveness to its customers—the American taxpayer.

The House also passed legislation to create the bipartisan Select Committee on the Strategic Competition Between the United States and the Chinese Communist Party to make recommendations to strengthen our nation and economy against China. The bill was introduced by Speaker McCarthy. I was proud to support this legislation because we must be forward-thinking about our competitive relationship with China.

I was also proud to support the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act. In Congress, I will continue to support pro-life policies.

Lancaster District Office Has Moved

My Lancaster district office moved to 2270 Erin Court, Lancaster, PA 17601 and is fully operational.

Our new location has ample free parking and is easily accessible by constituents, located directly off the Rohrerstown Road exit of Route 30, which is the main thoroughfare connecting Lancaster and York counties.

Listening to and serving the needs of the residents of Pennsylvania’s 11th Congressional District is my chief responsibility as a Member of Congress. My staff and I will continue to do everything we can to assist anyone who reaches out to us. We’re grateful for the opportunity to serve you.

Legislation to Honor World War II Veteran Harold Billow Becomes Law

Legislation that I introduced last year to honor the late Lancaster County World War II veteran Mr. Harold Billow is now law.

I’m thankful that our community will be able to honor Mr. Harold Billow, an American hero, and an exceptional member of the Greatest Generation. He selflessly served our nation as a member of the United States Armed Forces and after his service displayed his steadfast patriotism remembering the 87 fellow soldiers lost during the Malmedy Massacre by displaying 87 American flags in his front yard on holidays throughout the year. May we always remember, honor, and give thanks for Mr. Billow’s service to our nation.

The U.S. Post Office at 1 East Main Street in Mount Joy, PA will bear Mr. Billow’s name. A naming ceremony will take place in the coming months.

Leading the State

January 11 marked National Milk Day. Did you know, according to the Census of Agriculture conducted by the USDA, that Lancaster County is the leading producer of milk in Pennsylvania? Thanks to all the hardworking dairy farmers!
