October Monthly Grants Newsletter
Dear Friend,
I decided to start a grants newsletter because let’s face it, navigating federal grants can be a pain in the neck. For this reason, I am proud to share our grants newsletter for October.
Each month, my staff and I will be sharing out upcoming grants and federal opportunities for local governments, community organizations, businesses, and individuals. On top of that, we want to highlight the grant winners in our district and create personalized webinars and events for constituents.
My tip for October: make sure you are registered for SAM.gov and Grants.gov to apply for grants, submit applications, and access other important funding notifications. You can find registration information here. |
Celebrating the Good People of PA-17
This month we would like to congratulate the Women’s Center of Beaver County for their Department of Justice grant award of $594,500.
With this funding, the Women’s Center will provide 35 scattered site, private landlord housing residences for 35 survivors and their families. In collaboration with partner Beaver County Rehabilitation Center (BCRC), the Women’s Center will provide a holistic, victim-centered, and multidisciplinary approach. I am very glad to see federal funding come to the Women’s Center of Beaver County to support their important work of caring for the survivors and victims of domestic abuse.
