November Monthly Grants Newsletter

Dear Friend,

My staff and I know there are lots of steps and sometimes challenges that come with applying for grants. I am proud to share our grants newsletter for November to try and help make this complicated process a bit easier.

This month, we will be hosting our second Guide to Grants Webinar featuring the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and Pennsylvania’s Infrastructure Investment Authority (PENNVEST). This Guide to Grants webinar will take place on Thursday, November 21st at 1:00p ET. Click this link to register for the upcoming Guide to Grants Webinar.

As always, I am proud to represent you, and my team is honored to serve you. The quickest way you can receive federal funding support from my office is by calling my Carnegie District Office at 412-344-5583.

Celebrating the Good People of PA-17

This month we would like to congratulate Shaler Township on receiving over $4,000,000 in federal funding to invest in water infrastructure improvements in the Township. This project will help Shaler meet water safety standards, as it pulls the Township into compliance with the infiltration and inflow Consent Order with the Allegheny County Health Department.

The federal funding for this project comes from the Biden-Harris Administration’s Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act and is awarded to Shaler through PENNVEST, a Pennsylvania State financing authority. The authority provides low-cost financial assistance to address water, wastewater, stormwater, and non-point source pollution problems in local water systems that impact public health, safety, the environment, regulatory compliance, and economic development.

To learn more about this PA-17 Highlight, check out our full press release here. If you want to learn more about the water infrastructure funding that your municipality could be eligible for, feel free to register for our upcoming Guide to Grants Webinar featuring the EPA and PENNVEST.
