The Institute of Museum and Library Services is offering their Museum Assessment Program, giving museums on opportunity to strengthen operations and plan for the future through a year-long process of self-assessment and consultative peer review. This application closes on February 15, 2025.
The Department of Transportation is accepting applicants for their Promoting Resilient Operations for Transformative, Efficient, and Cost-Saving Transportation (PROTECT) Program. This is a competitive grant for projects that enhance the resilience of surface transportation systems against natural hazards. Applicants should apply by February 24, 2025.
The Department of Energy is accepting applications for its Energy Improvements in Rural or Remote Areas program. The goal of funded projects should be to support rural and remote communities to build clean energy projects that benefit their communities of 10,000 people or fewer. Interested governments, organizations, and academic institutions must submit a Concept Paper by February 27, 2025, and full applications are due on August 28, 2025.
The Department of Justice has opened their FY25 Improving Adult and Youth Crisis Stabilization and Community Reentry Program. This grant provides funding to eligible recipients to support cross-system collaboration between criminal and juvenile justice agencies, mental health and substance use agencies, community-based organizations that provide reentry services, and community-based behavioral health providers. The deadline to apply is March 3, 2025.
The Department of Agriculture's Urban Agriculture and Innovative Production grant is open for applications. This funding supports the development of urban agriculture and innovative production. Planning activities will initiate, develop, or support the efforts of farms, gardeners, citizens, government officials, schools, and other stakeholders in areas where access to fresh foods is limited or unavailable. Apply by March 10, 2025.
The Department of the Interior's WaterSMART Environmental Water Resources Project is accepting applications from interested states, tribes, irrigation and water districts, or non profit organizations who seek funding for water conservation and efficiency projects. The deadline is March 11, 2025.
The Department of Homeland Security has opened its Building Resilient Infrastructure and Communities grant which makes federal funds available to states, U.S. territories, federally recognized tribal governments, and local governments for hazard mitigation activities.
