August Monthly Grants Newsletter

Dear Friend,

Did you know that my team and I have helped unfreeze millions of dollars in federal funding this summer? Whether it be for a local nonprofit, a regional healthcare clinic, or our schools, I will keep fighting for Congressionally-approved federal money that Western PA has earned. As I share these grant resources for the month of August, please know that my office is just one call away for any federal funding concerns you may have. My Grants & Outreach Coordinator, Emma Dawson, can be reached at my Carnegie District Office at (412) 344-5583 or PA17Grants@mail.house.gov.

Celebrating the Good People of PA-17

This month, I want to highlight the Council of Three Rivers American Indian Center, which has a facility in Indiana Township, for receiving $3,398,648 from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

This grant will support the Center’s Early Head Start program and Child Care Partnerships, providing comprehensive child development and family support services to low-income pregnant woman and families with children up to three years old. These services include school readiness and nutrition and will reach families all across Western PA. I am proud to highlight this $3.4 million dollar win and the incredible services that the Council of Three Rivers American Indian Center is providing to our Western PA families every single day.
