Federal Funding
The Department of Health and Human Services is accepting applications for the Children’s Mental Health Initiative. The purpose of this program is to provide comprehensive community mental health services to children, youth, and young adults, birth through age 21 with a serious emotional disturbance, which may include efforts to identify and serve children at risk, and their families. Apply by April 20, 2026.
The Department of Justice is accepting applications for the FY25 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Program – Local Formula. The JAG Program provides states, tribes and local governments with critical funding necessary to support personnel, equipment, supplies, contractual support, training, technical assistance, and information systems for criminal justice or civil proceedings. Apply on grants.gov by April 21, 2026, and apply on JustGrants by April 28, 2026.
The Environmental Protection Agency is accepting applications for the National Environmental Education (EE) Training Program. The purpose of this program is to provide EE training and long-term support to formal and non-formal education professionals across the United States, bolstering their ability to effectively teach about environmental issues. Apply by April 27, 2026.
The Department of Justice is application applications for the BJA FY25 Veterans Treatment Court Program. This NOFO will support the implementation and enhancement of veterans treatment court (VTC) operations. VTCs connect justice-involved veterans to treatment for substance use disorders (SUD), mental health disorders (MHD), co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders (MHSUD), post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and traumatic brain injury (TBI). Apply on grants.gov by April 27, 2026, and apply on JustGrants by May 4, 2026.
The Department of Housing and Urban Development is accepting applications for the Capital Improvements for At-Risk, Receivership, Substandard, and Troubled Public Housing Authorities (PHAs). This funding will be used to assist with public housing asset improvement projects. Apply by April 28, 2026.
The Department of Justice is accepting applications for the OJJDP FY25 Family-Based Alternative Justice grant. This funding will support the implementation of new, and enhance existing, family-based alternative sentencing programs for parents/primary caregivers who are involved in or at risk of becoming involved in the criminal justice system. Apply on grants.gov by May 4, 2026, and apply on JustGrants by May 11, 2026.
The Department of Transportation is accepting applications for the FY26 Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) grant. This funding supports planning, infrastructural, behavioral, and operational initiatives to prevent death and serious injury on roads and streets involving all roadway users, including pedestrians; bicyclists; public transportation, personal conveyance, and micromobility users; motorists; and commercial vehicle operators. Apply by May 26, 2026.
The Department of Veterans Affairs is accepting applications for the Staff Sergeant Parker Gordon Fox Suicide Prevention grant. This funding enables the VA to provide resources toward community-based suicide prevention efforts to meet the needs of Veterans and their families through outreach, suicide prevention services, and connection to VA and community resources. Apply by June 12, 2026.
The Department of Justice is accepting applications for the NIJ FY25 Research and Evaluation on Violence Against Women program. This funding will support research and evaluation projects examining a broad range of topics to reduce violence against women (VAW). Apply by July 23, 2026.
The Department of Homeland Security is accepting applications for the FY24 and FY25 Building Resilient Infrastructure and Communities (BRIC) grant. Funding from this program will go towards hazard mitigation activities. It does so by recognizing the need to upgrade and modernize the nation’s infrastructure against the growing risks to communities and the need for natural hazard risk mitigation activities that promote resilience with respect to natural hazards. Apply by July 23, 2026.
The Department of Housing and Urban Development recently announced the funding availability of Resident Opportunities and Self-Sufficiency (ROSS) Emergency Funding. These awards are a one-time funding opportunity designed to allow awardees to respond quickly to unexpected disasters and urgent social needs in HUD-assisted communities, offering $150,000 to $250,000 for service coordination and direct service support. Funding is available on a rolling basis until the funds are exhausted. You can apply by following the steps on this form.
State Funding
The PA Department of Human Services is accepting applications for the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP). LIHEAP provides cash grants to help Pennsylvania families pay their heating bills. Apply online from December 3, 2025, to April 10, 2026.
The PA Department of Agriculture is accepting applications for the Agricultural Innovation Grant Program. This grant helps farmers and other agriculture businesses implement new agricultural technologies, conservation, and renewable energy innovations — expanding their potential to generate profits, enrich soil and water resources, and produce energy on the farm. Apply by April 18, 2026.
The PA Department of Conservation and Natural Resources is accepting applications for the Community Conservation Partnerships Program. This grant program builds connections between Pennsylvanians and the outdoors by supporting recreational improvements, natural resource conservation, and community revitalization efforts. Apply by April 30, 2026.
The PA Department of Transportation is accepting applications for the Automated School Bus Enforcement Grant Program. Applicants may seek grant funding for a range of safety and mobility projects located in Pennsylvania. Eligible projects include, but are not limited to: (1) costs associated with the issuance of CDL licenses to operate school buses within the Commonwealth, and (2) increasing school bus safety, education, and training in the Commonwealth. Apply by April 30, 2026.
The PA Department of Environmental Protection is accepting applications for the Recycling Program Development and Implementation Grant Program. This initiative offers grants for developing and implementing recycling programs. Counties and municipalities can get back 90% of eligible costs. Apply by May 22, 2026.
The PA Department of Community & Economic Development is accepting applications for the Solar for Schools (S4S) Program. These grants will aid in the purchase and installation of solar equipment, permit fees, energy storage, and utility interconnection. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis until funds are depleted. |
