This is Congressman Matt Van Epps, the proud representative of Tennessee’s seventh congressional district.
As I begin the third month serving the people of our district, I want to thank you for the opportunity to represent you in Congress. It’s been an incredible honor to listen to your concerns, meet with families and community leaders from back home, and bring your priorities with me to Washington.
Joining the Republican Study Committee
I am incredibly excited to join the Republican Study Committee. Their commitment to limited government, fiscal responsibility, a strong national defense, and preserving traditional values is second to none in Congress. I’m looking forward to working with them to make our country a freer and safer place to live for Americans.

NASA Reauthorization Act of 2026
I was honored to be a part of this week’s Science, Space, and Technology Committee markup on the NASA Reauthorization Act of 2026. Strengthening America’s leadership in science, space, and innovation remains a top priority, and today’s work reflects that commitment.
The NASA Reauthorization Act reaffirms America’s leadership in space. By supporting Artemis and the Moon-to-Mars mission, we’re ensuring the U.S. continues to lead in exploration, innovation, and discovery while inspiring the next generation of explorers.
It also supports a steady cadence of Artemis missions and continued development of critical systems like SLS and Orion, keeping America on track to return and fly around the Moon and prepare for human missions to Mars.

We were grateful to welcome the Tennessee Fraternal Order of Police to our office for a productive and thoughtful discussion. Hearing directly from the men and women who wear the uniform and serve our communities every day is invaluable. We appreciate their continued commitment to public safety and their steadfast support for law enforcement professionals across our state.
Friends of Fort Campbell
I was honored to meet with the Friends of Fort Campbell in my office. Fort Campbell is such a vital and integral part of our community. We’re grateful for your partnership and look forward to continuing to work together on behalf of those who serve and sacrifice to protect us and our freedoms.
74th National Prayer Breakfast
I had the honor of attending the 74th National Prayer Breakfast, where leaders from across the country gathered in a spirit of reflection and unity. I am grateful for the opportunity to join in prayer and to hear remarks from our leadership.
