Hello, friends!
This is Congressman Matt Van Epps, your representative for Tennessee’s Seventh Congressional District. Last week, I was able to get around the district and hear from some incredible people and meet with some amazing organizations.
Clarksville Conversations
I had a great time discussing the importance of Fort Campbell on the Clarksville Conversations podcast with Charlie Koon.
Listen to the episode here.

Clarksville Foundry
It was a privilege to tour the Clarksville Foundry, one of the oldest operating foundries in the United States. This historic foundry has operated continuously for 180 years and is still doing exceptional work today.

Montgomery Co. Economic Development
I enjoyed getting to speak with local business leaders at the Montgomery County economic development round table. As Clarksville-Montgomery County becomes increasingly important in the national supply chain for advanced energy and defense, it’s critical for local infrastructure to keep up. I will continue to support an approach that bolsters the region’s long-term growth and economic strength.

Montgomery Co. Elected Officials
It was a privilege hearing from community leaders at the Montgomery County Elected Official roundtable and discussing important issues like vocational training, housing supply, infrastructure, and the importance of cutting federal red tape. I am committed to working in Washington to rein in the federal government and preserving a free market system.

Judy’s Hope Tour
I loved touring Judy’s Hope, an amazing non-profit that prepares women and children in need to live strong and successful lives. I was so impressed with the leadership and staff of Judy’s Hope and their willingness to serve. Thank you for having me!

American Legion Post 289
I was honored to visit the monthly chapter meeting of American Legion Post 289, CSM Gary W. Crisp Post, one of the fastest-growing veteran organizations in Middle Tennessee. This post stands strong for veterans, active-duty service members, and military families across Clarksville and the Fort Campbell community.

Nashville Fire Chief Swann
I had a wonderful meeting with Nashville Fire Chief Swann. I am thankful for Chief Swann’s leadership and for our amazing first responders, especially in light of their selfless work throughout Winter Storm Fern.

Montgomery Co. Veterans Coalition
Thank you to the Montgomery County Veterans Coalition for allowing me to take part in an incredible meeting. This group’s advocacy for veterans’ groups is outstanding including direct support of nonprofits, local community partners, veterans’ healthcare, veteran owned businesses, and much more.

Michael Patrick Leahy Show
Thank you for having me on The Michael Patrick Leahy Show. I always appreciate the opportunity to share what I’m working on in D.C. for the people of Tennessee’s Seventh District.
Listen to our full conversation here.
Big Oldies 100.7 Waynesboro
I enjoyed stopping in at Big Oldies 100.7 this week. Thanks, Chuck Koblenz, for having me and I look forward to talking again the next time I’m in Waynesboro.
