This week, President Biden once again jeopardized our border security by announcing an end to Title 42, the Trump-era public health order that authorizes border authorities to expel migrants. Despite a record number of illegal immigrants and drugs flowing into the United States, the Biden Administration continues to encourage open borders.
Border agents estimate apprehensions will skyrocket to 18,000 per day following the end of Title 42 expulsion. Since the Biden-Harris Administration assumed office, the Department of Homeland Security has encountered 2.3 million migrants, and the suspension of Title 42 will only further exacerbate this number. The immigration policies of this administration are despicable and nothing short of allowing a mass invasion of our country.
Even more concerning, the president has offered no plan to counter the imminent chaos soon to be unleashed on our southern border, leaving his self-inflicted crisis in the hands of Texas. On Wednesday, Governor Abbott ordered state troopers to bus apprehended migrants to Washington D.C. in response to the end of Title 42. Additionally, I sent a letter to President Biden last week demanding he provide the American people with a proactive plan to secure the border. The administration refuses to answer my questions.

SENATE CONFIRMS SUPREME COURT JUDGE KETANJI BROWN JACKSON
On Thursday, the United States Senate confirmed Ketanji Brown Jackson as Supreme Court Justice, the first Black woman to ever hold the title. While I recognize the historic nature of this occasion, Judge Jackson’s lenient record on child pornography cases should have disqualified her from the bench. Our leaders have a duty to protect our children and we cannot allow the left’s soft-on-crime approach to put innocent lives in harm’s way.

GOODEN CONDEMNS LAX OVERSIGHT OF TAX-EXEMPT ORGANIZATIONS
Non-profits around the country are failing the American people and the communities they claim to serve by abusing their tax-exempt status and betraying the publics trust. Whether it’s Russian-funded climate groups advocating against American energy or Black Lives Matter’s exploitation of donations to purchase multi-million-dollar mansions, Congress must hold these bad actors accountable. I sent a letter to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) demanding better oversight of non-profits and reform to their financial reporting requirements so the American taxpayer may ensure their donations are spent charitably.
