On Thursday, I urged my colleagues on the House floor to protect Americans from dangerous Transportation Security Administration (TSA) policies that allow terrorists and criminals onto commercial aircrafts. TSA has confirmed to me last year that arrest warrants and warrants for deportation are sufficient documentation for illegal immigrants to travel, and despite my demands the Biden Administration has done nothing to stop the problem.
To combat this, I introduced the SECURE Flights Act in February to verify the identity of travelers by prohibiting the use of arrest warrants as identification in the airport screening process. TSA was created to prevent tragedies like 9/11 from ever happening again, yet nearly 160 unidentified passengers travel every day under the Biden Administration. In a Congressional hearing, the Secretary of Homeland Security openly admitted individuals from the Terrorist Watch List have crossed our southern border.
I requested consideration of the SECURE Flights Act as an amendment to a bill this week, but every single Democrat in the House voted against protecting our skies. Liberals in Washington, D.C. are prioritizing illegal immigrants and potential terrorists over our national security. It is time the Biden Administration is held accountable for their handling of this crisis, and I will continue to fight to safeguard American travelers.

GOODEN FIGHTS FOR FIRST AMENDMENT RIGHTS
Recently, the Department of Homeland Security established the “Ministry of Truth” and a Disinformation Governance Board. This radical move by Democrats seeks to silence Conservatives and does nothing to address real disinformation. Opinions are not disinformation, and American citizens should not be punished for disagreeing with the Biden Administration. I joined my Republican colleagues to uphold every Americans’ right to free speech by co-signing a letter to Secretary Mayorkas and co-sponsoring the Protecting Free Speech Act, which would terminate the board and prohibit its use of federal funds.
