Our Road to Recovery
Dear Friend,
Although we are entering another week of these challenging times, I am very pleased to see a steady increase in testing availability throughout West Texas and a continued decrease in new cases. As we begin our return to normal, I am confident Americans will manage risks and reopen responsibly. Let’s get back to work, get government out of the way, and unleash the free enterprise system to lead the greatest comeback in American history.
Below, you will find a recap my work here in Washington. To ensure you're receiving the latest updates from Washington and across West Texas, I encourage you to follow me on Twitter and Facebook and encourage your fellow West Texans to sign up for my weekly newsletter.
A Win For Rural America
Rural hospitals serve as one of the largest employers in rural communities, including the facilities in the Paycheck Protection Program will allow them to remain open and retain employees on the payroll. I’m very pleased with the Trump Administration's decision that not only protects our working families in rural America, but also our food and fuel supply for all Americans.

Americans Will Lead our Greatest Comeback
Congress passed a supplemental funding package for healthcare workers, family farmers, independent energy producers, and small businesses of all kinds. These folks listened to their leaders, did their part, made their sacrifices and stayed home – all to keep their communities and country safe.
This temporary support will compensate them partly, but more importantly, help them get back on their feet so that they can keep employees on the payroll and off the unemployment roll. They are the heartbeat of America, they are the lifeblood of our economy and they – NOT the government – will lead one of the greatest American comebacks in our history.

PPP in WTX
Our small businesses are the lifeblood of West Texas and the heartbeat of America. The Paycheck Protection Program has helped these West Texans get back on their feet and keep their employees on the payroll and off unemployment. To watch, click here or the video below:

Neighbors Helping Neighbors
Tina Siemens from Seminole, Texas and some of her friends have sewn almost 2,000 cotton masks for folks in the surrounding area including the Heart Hospital and a few drive through screening centers in Lubbock. She sent my family some, too. Thank you, Tina!

Immigration Executive Order
I fully support President Trump’s decision to suspend immigration to the United States. Given the risks and priorities associated with our relief and recovery efforts, it’s a responsible, common sense approach to putting Americans’ safety and success first.

China Coverup
There is no telling the amount of human lives and costs that would have been saved if not for China and the World Health Organization Director General working in coordination to cover this up. Their lack of transparency has hurt the entire world. To hear more of my interview with Steve Scully, click here or the video below:

It is an honor to be your Representative. Feel free to forward this weekly update to our fellow West Texans and encourage them to sign up here for this weekly update. By relieving families, recapitalizing our small businesses, and reopening our economy, I have no doubt we will RESTORE America!
