West Texas Wrap-Up
Dear Friend,
Below, you will find a recap of my work here in Washington. To ensure you’re receiving the latest updates from Washington and across West Texas, I encourage you to follow me on Twitter and Facebook.
Reopening Schools
Opening our schools is a critical piece of reopening our county and the people on the front lines this fall are educators. The principal and teachers at Austin Elementary School in Abilene are awesome and they’re ready and excited to get their kids back.
Thanks to Dr. Young and his team Abilene ISD for providing a safe in-classroom education to 75% of their students while also providing a choice to families for an on-line experience. To see my tour of Austin Elementary, click here or the video below.

Protecting our Communities
I introduced 3 anti-rioting bills increasing penalties for violence & assault, and affirming the federal role in restoring order when local leaders won’t. Enough is enough! We get what we tolerate. The mob violence in Portland, Seattle, & now, Wisconsin, must be stopped! To read more on my latest legislation, click here.

Democrat Leadership’s Manufactured USPS Crisis
Democrat Leadership must take the American people as absolute fools. House Democrats falsely calling into question the security of our elections to justify a 25 billion dollar bail-out is a dishonest, predatory scam and a political pay-off to their government union bosses. Visiting the Key City
I enjoyed meeting with business leaders and job creators from all over the Key City at the Abilene Chamber of Commerce Business Expo. Supporting small businesses will be critical to keeping folks employed and our nation’s long term economic recovery.
I also met with the presidents and faculty members of Abilene Christian University, Hardin Simmons, and McMurry to discuss covid relief efforts. I am grateful for the thoughtful gift from HSU President Eric Bruntmyer, which I will proudly display in my Washington, D.C. office.

Champion of Agriculture Award
As as the proud representative of the food, fuel and fiber capital of the world, I was honored to receive the Champion of Agriculture Award from the Texas Agri-Women South Plains Chapter. We have to keep that affordable, abundant, safe supply of food flowing throughout our country and the world. We are the leader in agriculture production because we have the hardest working, God-fearing farmers, plain and simple.

Holding China Accountable
From the COVID19 coverup to mailing mysterious seeds to American farmers, there are all sorts of nefarious activities surrounding China and they must be held accountable for the mass devastation they’ve caused around the world. It is an honor to be your Representative. Feel free to forward this newsletter to our fellow West Texans and encourage them to sign up here for this weekly update.
