ICYMI: Arrington Wins "Defender of Limited Government" Award
Katie,
I fundamentally believe those closest to the people are the most effective at delivering good government, that federalism and our traditional American values go hand and hand. I am proud to have earned the Defender of Limited Government Award from the Institute for Legislative Analysis for being one of the Top 100 Members of Congress most aligned with the limited government principles of the U.S. Constitution.
Now, more than ever, I am certain we need:
- Less Washington & More West Texas
- Less Government & More Community
- Less Top-Down Solutions & More Bottom-Up Leadership
Background:
Since he came to Congress, Rep. Arrington has fought for a limited federal government. He is currently in the top 20% of all members of Congress for supporting limited government principles. About the Defender of Limited Government Award:
The Institute for Legislative Analysis’s Defender of Limited Government Award recognized members of Congress who exemplify an ideology most aligned with the limited government principles of the U.S. Constitution. This ranking was based on a study of roughly 65,000 votes, the most expansive study performed on Congress. The study found that only 21% of members in congress have voting records that support limited government principles at least 80% of the time. |
