Welcoming Ag Secretary Rollins to West Texas

I was excited to welcome my dear friend and Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins to West Texas to meet with our farmers and ranchers, listen to their challenges and concerns, and highlight President Trump’s commitment to a vibrant Rural America and the most competitive, productive, and sustainable agriculture industry in the world.

Rural America is blessed to have a proud Texan and principled conservative leading our nation’s Department of Agriculture, and I know Brooke will never stop fighting for our farmers and agriculture communities throughout the country. Go WTX!

Cotton Classification Complex Tour

I was proud to show off Texas Tech’s state-of-the-art Cotton Classification Complex to Secretary Rollins. This 30,000 square-foot facility, processing up to 5 million cotton samples every year, is just one of the many reasons why West Texas is the FOOD, FUEL, and FIBER CAPITAL OF THE WORLD!

Production Agriculture Roundtable

We had a great discussion with local producers and commodity groups to talk about the challenges facing the West Texas ag industry in recent years. Secretary Rollins and President Trump are laser-focused on supporting American agriculture and ushering in the new Golden Age of America.

Meeting with FFA Students

Agriculture isn’t just her job description, it’s Secretary Rollins’ passion. She grew up on a farm in rural Texas, was an officer in her local FFA, and got her degree in agriculture development at A&M. I'm grateful for her time spent at Texas Tech and meeting with some outstanding FFA students. Wreck ‘em!
