SAVE and Protect America Act

The U.S. House of Representatives advanced my budget resolution - the SAVE and Protect America Act - to support our troops, secure our elections, and strengthen our food supply.

I am humbled by the steadfast unity and unwavering determination from House Republicans to break the Democrat obstruction so we can provide emergency support for our troops, safeguard the integrity of our elections, and continue delivering on the priorities of the American people.

I urge the Senate to seize this fateful moment to SAVE and Protect America.

Securing Record Funding for Dyess Air Force Base

The first and foremost responsibility of the federal government is to provide for the common defense. Congress must ensure our military remains the most capable, lethal, and technologically advanced fighting force in the world.

The FY27 National Defense Authorization Act rebuilds America's military by modernizing our defense industrial base, replenishing critical weapons stockpiles, strengthening our nuclear deterrent, advancing next-generation technologies, and ensuring our servicemembers have the resources they need to accomplish every mission. It also continues the important work of eliminating waste, fraud, and abuse within the Department of War.

I am especially proud that this legislation secures a record $160 million investment in Dyess Air Force Base - $40 million more than last year’s record-breaking NDAA investment in Dyess – to continue preparing for the arrival of the B-21 Raider in the Big Country.

The bill also includes my Smitty Check Act to improve the care of injured and ill servicemembers, along with two amendments I authored to strengthen oversight of foreign investments near U.S. military installations and expand access to telehealth services for our veterans.

I am proud to support this legislation, and I will never stop fighting to ensure the brave men and women serving at Dyess Air Force Base and all throughout our Armed Forces have the resources they need to defend our nation and keep America's military the most capable and most lethal fighting force in the world.

Protecting American Businesses from European Regulatory Overreach

I was joined by Rep. Craig Goldman (TX-12) and Rep. Greg Steube (FL-17) in introducing the Stop EU Overreach Act. The legislation directs the U.S. Trade Representative to investigate the European Union's policies to impose costly foreign regulations on American businesses operating on U.S. soil.

America should never allow foreign bureaucrats to discriminate against our companies. While President Trump is opening new markets for American energy exports and strengthening our economy, the European Union continues to impose unfair regulations that target American energy producers and put our businesses at a competitive disadvantage.

I'm proud to join my colleagues in introducing this legislation to promote American energy, protect U.S. businesses from foreign regulatory overreach, and ensure our trading partners treat U.S. producers fairly.
