I am aware that many of you are likely facing financial uncertainty and hardship from the Trump administration's illegal freezing and cancelation of federal funds. If you are requesting assistance with a federal funding freeze, you can fill out this form here.

• The Renton Municipal Airport was recently awarded grant funding from the Federal Aviation Administration to rehabilitate over 5,300 feet of taxiway. Congrats! 
  
  
• Rep. Adam Smith submitted 15 Community Project Funding requests to the House Committee on Appropriations for consideration in the FY 2026 appropriations bill. Submitting projects to the House Appropriations Committee is the first step in the process and does not guarantee they will be funded. Rep. Smith will continue to advocate for this funding to be passed by Congress and signed into law.

• Federal Funds Grant Writing Assistance Program. Washington State Department of Commerce has launched a program to support community-based organizations, ports, housing authorities, tribes, businesses, and others to prepare, write, and submit federal grant opportunities.
