Dear Friend,

This week I've continued working to spread awareness about the CCP's spying on our military and commercial ships. I also introduced legislation to ensure access to telehealth for millions of Americans who rely on it. Finally, I'm joining an effort to honor a trailblazing female athlete from Southern California.

Get the details about all of this and more below, and make sure to follow my FacebookInstagram, and Twitter to get these updates in real-time.

Sounding the Alarm on CCP Spying

WATCH: The CCP is the Greatest Threat to Democracy

For more than 15 years, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has developed an elaborate espionage campaign to gather insight on American businesses, strategic assets, and supply-chain weak links. The goal: to gain a competitive foothold it can leverage against the United States and our allies.

As part of that campaign, China’s Ministry of Transportation funds and controls LOGINK, a free shipping and logistics platform that collects real-time data from users at ports around the world.

This week, I joined the Ingraham Angle and wrote an op-ed for the National Review to raise awareness about this important threat and my work to combat it.

Improving Access to Care

Image

This week, I introduced the bipartisan and bicameral Telehealth Expansion Act. This legislation would make permanent a waiver created by the CARES Act to allow Americans with Health Savings Accounts (HSA) to access telehealth services without first having to meet their deductible.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, telehealth became an important tool used by families, seniors, and rural communities to access quality, affordable health care. The expiration of the CARES Act provision will negatively impact more than 32 million HSA enrollees and twenty percent of the American workforce, who currently enjoy the option to utilize telehealth.

I am proud to lead this commonsense bipartisan measure to permanently expand access to telemedicine.

WATCH: Commemorating the U.S./Thailand Relationship

I spoke on the House floor to commemorate the Treaty of Amity and Commerce of 1833.

This monumental treaty was our nation’s first treaty – not only with Thailand – but with any Asian County.
