The State Department backed out of my House Foreign Affairs Indo-Pacific Subcommittee hearing as officials boost engagement with Beijing.

I led a letter with subcommittee members to demand answers. I will not allow the Biden administration to stonewall Congress and the American people under my watch as Indo-Pacific Subcommittee Chairwoman.

Orange County has faced rising burglaries and crimes by Chilean nationals who are members of South American Theft Groups and entered the U.S. with criminal records.

I wrote to the Biden administration on the lack of enforcement of vetting requirements, and today I am welcoming Speaker McCarthy here for briefings with local and federal law enforcement. I am committed to protecting public safety. 

The Sunburst Youth Academy is part of the National Guard Youth Challenge Program, targeting at-risk youth ages 16-18, & helps get students back on track. My office helped celebrate the Sunburst Youth Academy Class 31 Graduation Ceremony.

This week we celebrated Flag Day. I'll never forget my first time reciting the Pledge of Allegiance as a U.S. citizen.

As President Reagan said, "freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction." Our stars and stripes – and the values they represent – should never be taken for granted.

I met with California small business owners and heard the unique challenges they face in today's economy. As a member of the House Financial Services Committee, I'm working to expand access to capital and reduce regulatory costs for small businesses.

Team Young joined our Mission Viejo community at the Mission Viejo Chamber Annual Breakfast and State of the City. Mayor Goodell's keynote remarks on his Olympic career were inspiring, and congratulations to the new chamber board members and STEM scholarship winners.

On Wednesday we celebrated the U.S. Army's 248th Birthday!

At this week's Financial Services Committee hearing, I asked Consumer Financial Protection Bureau Director Chopra about what he is doing to promote financial literacy and make life affordable for Americans.

Team Young joined the annual U.S. Flag Retirement Ceremony in Rancho Santa Margarita organized by Eagle Scout Troop 7272 as we celebrate Flag Day. 

La Veta Village by Home Aid Orange County will add affordable housing and senior living options in our Orange community by renovating old, uninhabited houses and turning them into new homes of hope.

I'm grateful for HomeAid OC's work to help address homelessness and uplift community members.

I joined BBC News to respond to their recent reporting on North Koreans dying of starvation under the Kim Jong Un regime. As a Korean American and Chairwoman of the Indo-Pacific Subcommittee, I am fighting to hold the Kim regime accountable and support global human rights.

Team Young met with Serento Rosa and thanked them for their tireless work to support our seniors in Yorba Linda. As someone approaching Social Security eligibility age myself, I'm committed to protecting and strengthening the benefits our seniors have earned.
